Myke of Black Lab Carpentry has been working on different aspects of our new home since September 2020. Beginning with instating a new false wall and new doorways into two rooms he moved on to adding skirting before taking on the task of removing and fitting a new kitchen and utility room. This complex project involved working with builders to convert a doorway to a window, plumbers for kitchen and cloakroom work, installing a sliding pocket door and more besides. It was a far from conventional kitchen refit. Currently Myke is hanging new doors, fitting architrave, skirting and picture rails.
Throughout all this work Myke has been patient and understanding. He has shared our vision, restoring our house to its Victorian character. He has recommended and worked with us to find the best suppliers, he has helped to troubleshoot the inevitable issues that have arisen.
Myke has been a consummate professional. His work is of the highest standard. He is always prompt to site, he does not shirk from any work, takes everything in his stride and has shown incredible patience throughout. Myke comes highly recommended and we would be happy for anyone to visit us in order to see the high standard and quality of the work that he has done for us.
